When you first walk in, you pay before finding a table. I thought that this was great, because I wouldn’t have to worry about anything furthermore. I enjoyed my time here at United Buffet. The food was really fresh and tasted great! It was very flavorful food. The crabs tasted great and I was extremely impressed by them. I cannot wait to come back.
The food is like most of the mid.range ($15-20) buffets these days - some selections are great, and some selections just look great. I stuck with the fish and seafood stuff and the clam chowder. The chowder tasted very good, but it was also very watery. The fried fish was OK, not too crispy overall. The baked flounder was good, and so was the seafood salad and the baby octopus (yeah). The grilled salmon looked good, but some parts were dry. So, like anywhere else, you have to be picky about the pieces you pick. The Mrs was killing those steamed crabs!
I loved the jazz piano loop that they play now. The atmosphere is really laidback and conducive to a nice meal with your partner. The servers clear the tables quickly, too. We got here a little before 4pm and stayed until 6.45!
Next time, I'll try their hibachi grill where he not only grills up your selections, but he can also make them into a soup (pho?) on request!
Ah'll be back! 😄
This place used to be the Old Country Buffet, but the United Buffet is far better!
The Food selections are vast and fancy restaurant quality. Their short ribs and grilled salmon are my favorites. The hibachi selections could be better. The Salad bar is great, and the desserts are good enough.
The place and restrooms are clean!
We really enjoyed this buffet. The interior is clean and bright; the food was all prepared well. The “Hibachi Grill” is where you collect the raw meat and veggies and the chef cooks them for you. Nice, hot, and fresh!! At the moment (Feb 2023) there is a $9.99 lunch special for seniors Mon-Thu; time limited.
