Charming and friendly Mexican spot. Simple menu, but freshly prepared, hot, and fast! Horchata was tasty! The festive decor is a nice bonus. Go on Monday, Wednesday. And Friday for 6.99 lunch!! That's cheaper than fast food these days.
Fun little joint, currently serving your typical Tex mex fare. Got to talk to talk to Louise, one of the owners, struck me as a really nice guy.
Good atmosphere.
Get TRIPAS!
This place has been on my to-try list for a while. It's still very new and the menu is limited at the moment but I'm not going to hold that against them.
When I walked in, I was surprised with how colorful and decorated this place is. They really went all out with making this place feel unique.
I was welcomed with a sweet smile from the hostess and quickly taken to my seat.
The menu is rather small but I decided on trying the enchiladas verdes. My dining partner got the chicken fajitas.
The portions were of average size and quite filling. The Enchiladas Verdes had parmesan cheese on top, which is a bit eccentric but it adds a nice bolder cheese flavor.
The waitress was quick and attentive but not hounding. Which is good because I dislike when waitstaff loom around the table.
The fried ice cream is also quite lovely! It's certainly huge and good to share with friends!
Over all, a nice experience. This place has a lot of promise and I genuinely hope it thrives.
This place has had a struggle in change over from a bar, and I hope it can survive. I saw a sign that said they serve "agua frescas," and I have a nursing home resident I care for who is constantly asking for one. So my mom and I came in to try the place. The decor is bright and beautiful with ornately hand-carved tables and chairs brought straight in from Mexico.
They are promoting themselves as a family restaurant, but they also serve alcohol.
My mom has a milk allergy, so we had to ask for her stuff without cheese. I think the guy taking our order was confused and insulted, but they did make her the #8 Street Tacos without cheese. I got the #12 Enchiladas Verdes with the agua fresca that was not horchata (coz I've already had one before). I got one to go for my resident. I also split a churros for dessert with my mom. I was delighted to find some of them were stuffed with dulce de leche and had a lovely red berry dipping sauce and a chocolate dipping sauce.
It was delicious and we both had a good time. We felt like "endless chips and salsa" was missing, but it's very much like Don Ramon's, Don Tequilla, or most other authentic Mexican-style restaurants.
I would love to try any of their other dishes and drinks!
Just had lunch here. Fast service and good Tacos and Fajitas.
UPDATE: They are continuing to fill out their menu items. Had lunch there Friday, delicious Street Tacos and the new cook now makes a delicious and tasty Spanish style rice you will love!
