Lisa's Roadside Diner

Ok, no atmosphere. It's clean and inviting, a little noisy during the lunch hour, someone else said "probably not a date place." But for a couple married for a few years it was great😁

Frankly, Kathy and I went for the food, not the ambiance. And food we got! Going back for the catfish soon I think. Kathy got Broasted chicken and it was great. I got a hot pork tenderloin sandwich with some of the best white gravy I've had outside of Kathy's kitchen.

We took home enough for another meal each, but still had to top off lunch with German chocolate cake and coconut cream pie. Yummy! You'll probably not be able to stretch it to the extra to-go box but we do that often. Our tummies don't hold as much as they once did.

Finding it was easy in the industrial part of St. Jo, near the stockyards. We used Google maps and it worked fine. Definitely good enough for return trips!

The people are friendly and make good food! Sausage gravy is wonderful. I had the chicken fried steak and would definitely get it again. Wife had the omelet and it was just as good.

Absolutely amazing food. My buddy/ coworker recommended it and we decided to go for lunch and suffice to say I was not disappointed. We ordered the broasted chicken and taters plus one other side and I have to say it has to be some of the best fried chicken I'd ever had. My buddy managed to wolf down 2 plates it was that good. Amazing food for an even more amazing price. I will definitely make it a point to go back.

First time trying breakfast. It was a hit! It is impossible to find good sausage gravy in town and this gravy is it! So good. Doesn't taste like paste or cooked flour.

We love coming for dinner as well and getting boasted chicken.

We had breakfast at Lisa's Roadside Diner this morning. Huge servings of delicious food! Very clean, plenty of tables and chairs for everyone. Can't wait to try their pan-fried chicken special next Friday for lunch/supper!

Closed Mondays. 7a-2p with Friday being 7a-7p.
