El Tejocote Mexican Restaurant and Grill

We decided to give El Tejocote a try after getting burned out on all the local Mexican restaurants. We had a pleasant experience there. The cheese dip was good the chips were ok. I had the El Tejocote chimichanga and it was pretty good. My wife had a chicken and shrimp dish that was dang good. Everyone was happy with their food. The beer was ice cold but they don't have margaritas.

Their food is always very good and we never have to wait long. The service is good and friendly. We had the Polo Fundido or I think that is what it's called. So good

I've stopped here twice while in the area for work. It's what you'd expect... if you like chorizo, theirs is very good. Plain tasting guacamole dip tho, it needs something, lime maybe. It's a bit more expensive compared to similar restaurants in surrounding cities.... but it's the only option in that area so you gonna pay it and be mad... or you gonna be hungry and be mad. Pick one.
