We really enjoyed our Friday afternoon feast at Casa Juarez. We sat at the bar and Elmo made me the House Margarita, and it was perfect. We ordered a Pupusa for an appetizer and then Chili Relleno and Carne Asada for the main courses, and they were all great. Erica, one of the owners, chatted with us and made us feel at home.
We will definitely be back.
Ordered the Birria burrito. Busy hours aren't until 5pm or 6pm. My waitress was attentive and polite. For me, the prices start at $$ out of $$$$...hope that makes sense. Overall, good exp. 👍🏻
"I'll be back"
We tried Casa Juarez Restaurant for the first time today.
It just opened where Rocco's Italian restaurant used to be at 501 Liberty St. in Hagerstown. They offer authentic Mexican and El Salvadorean cuisine.
The owners are twin sisters. One is the chef and the other works front-of-house.
I had salmon and shrimp in tequila sauce, my companion had pork. Both were excellent!! We had the Flan in caramel sauce for dessert.
The owners are beyond nice and treated us like family. They are dedicated to offering food made with locally-sourced ingredients that tastes home cooked at reasonable prices.
I am thrilled to discover this brand new establishment to add to our list of favorites!
The food is grea. They are making Pupusas the right way and fresh to order. The hostess was super friendly and the menu is priced correctly
First time here but definitely not my last! My wife had the fajita combo and I had the garlic shrimp both were served hot, sizzling, and delicious! The wait staff & owner were very attentive and answered all our questions about the differences between Mexican and El Salvador cusine(similar ingredients but Mexican tends to be more spicy) so if you're looking for spicy food be sure to ask for it. I also recommend the flan and the churros for dessert!
