We absolutely LOVE this place! This has to be one of the best places in the entire city for amazing food and incredible cocktails. Rachel kills it behind the bar, and you're missing out if you don't ask for Taylor's section. She's the best server in the business!! We ask for her section everytime we get a chance to go. And we can't say enough about the food. Much better than Our Table or another spot down this way.
Every item of food each of us had was delicious. Drinks were also perfect and even though we ordered familiar ones, they had a unique flavor and were better than even expected. Parking was difficult, so expect possibly walking 2-3 blocks at peak times. Overall, great experience and absolutely will do again.
I'm a food snob... so take this with a grain of salt. The food was really good, but could have used a touch more seasoning. Like salted butter with the bread. The French onion soup a bit more broth. The wedge salad were great. The roasted carrots on point. The scallops cooked perfectly, but the butternut squash over powering, perhaps a brown butter would have worked with the fennel a bit better? Or just a dime of the squash and not swimming in it. Nonetheless really good food, service, ambiance, and value.
For the location, this is a great place to meet and have a great dining experience!! Our server was phenomenal 👏. Starts with cheifs treat that changes nightly. We tried the steak tartar it was good. We had 3 different steaks all cooked to perfect temperature, and all 3 of us got steak add-ons that were different. Would highly recommend the gulf shrimp add to the steak as they were huge and flavorful. Mashed potatoes were good but lacking a bit of flavor. The 4th person had porkchops cook perfect (and he's a picky eater and would have them again and again). All drinks were great, and the desert was hit and miss. Banana Foster was good a bit runny, the berry cobbler we got comped as the breading was more like croutons. There was a live sax player on the roof where we decided to sit that was great. We would definitely go back with a change up on the menu choices.
What an amazing idea. The way they’ve set up this speakeasy and keep the feel of this hidden gem from start to finish is so cool. Our server, David gave us a great experience. Our drinks were expertly created. I’ve never had anything like it! I recommend the one with the rose petals on top. The food was off the charts. We had the privilege of enjoying an 8 course tasting menu followed by the opportunity to meet the chef himself. Absolutely amazing presentation and pairing. Can’t wait to go back again!
