Great mix of items on the menu. Creative and delicious.
I am so in love with this place. The food had my mouth watering. I got a lemonade; it was made from scratch. Most of the time those are SO tart but this time it was prefect! The Breakfast Burrito was huge and Hot Cakes were so fluffy. I though the prices were high until I got my food and saw that they matched. We had a main waiter, but everyone waited on our table. We were never left wanting. My best friend and I came to Chicago to celebrate my birthday (4th of July), this is the 1st place we have eaten at in town and it was AWESOME!
We decided to try the place since we saw it while driving through. There is no parking, finding street parking is very difficult as most parking in the area is with residential parking permit. We almost gave up visiting just because of the parking. We parked two blocks away. Maybe not their fault, but be aware if accessibility is important for you. We arrived close to lunchtime.
We noticed it was fairly busy and still decided to give it a try. We were greeted upon arrival, asked how many, and seated within 3 minutes. The place got crowded by lunchtime and many people were waiting for tables.
The drinks: they bring ice water to all guests. Hot chocolate was delicious and very nicely presented. The expresso is good but not great. The hard coffee was delicious and well presented. The margarita with pineapple was great, too.
The food: All food has beautiful presentations. Their cream on the cakes is scrumptious. I'd say for the price, they could be more generous with portions. Their price-portion ratio is unbalanced.
The service: is great! Servers know the menu, and the availability of menus items is on point. The servers give happy, friendly, and very polite service (Something you dont see much of lately).
In conclusion, I'd be happy to be a regular customer and recommend to others if it wasn't for their portion-price mismatch.
This was are very first time to this location for breakfast. We got there about 11am their was no wait (but when we left it was super busy and they had a line to get it). It was delicious and the service was great. We ate inside but they also have an area in the back to dine-out. Everything we had was cooked well and tasted amazing. If you love a sweet breakfast I highly suggest you try their bread pudding French toast, it is divine. We all loved it! Our server was great and super nice. They also have a full bar. We always drove by but thought it was a grocery store until I looked up the name and realized that it was also a Brynmar Breakfast Club. This location is just as good as their other location. The restaurant is very spacious and has a cute esthetic. We highly recommend it!
